Welcome to the Life is Good Small Group at Bay Harbour UMC.

We would love for you to join us for a homemade breakfast, fellowship, and Bible study every Sunday morning at 8:15am in the Family Life Center (FLC) kitchen. (The study starts at 8:30 in room FLC-184).

Who We Are

We are a small group of Bay Harbour UMC focused on

building deeper relationships with Christ and each other.

What we are Studying

We are studying the book Longing to Pray: How the Psalms Teach Us to Talk with God by J. Ellsworth Kalas. The psalmists left us with the greatest collection of prayers in the possession of the human race. What was their secret? Kalas believes it was the quality of their friendship with God, and of course the language of that friendship is prayer. The authors don’t give us any specific formula for praying or a set of rules to follow, but if we read their prayers carefully, we will learn something of their secret, the secret of the Ultimate Friendship.

The chapters largely stand alone, so this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to join a small group mid-study!

What's for Breakfast?

Something different every week. Recently we have had homemade:

Biscuits and sausage gravy

Burn ends, jalapeno, and cheese kolaches

Chroizo and egg tacos

Shrimp and grits

Scrambled eggs with sausage & cream cheese

Migas

Life is Good Small Group

The Life is Good small group is dedicated to living our most rewarding life through an ever deepening personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe good food and fellowship are blessings from God, and we start each Sunday together with a homemade breakfast in the Family Life Center (FLC) kitchen at 8:30am.
